H7N9 to heat up chilled chicken sales, paper says

Sales of chilled chickens are expected to rise as more live poultry markets are shut to fend off outbreaks of the H7N9 bid flu virus, the China Securities Journal reported Tuesday, citing analysts. Some analysts are calling for the live poultry trade to be shut down for good to eradicate it as a viral source, the paper said. New Hope Group, a major supplier of chilled chicken, will benefit from the move, according to the report.
