Luxembourg seeks RQFII quota, paper says

Luxembourg plans to send top officials to Beijing in the second quarter to pursue its request to join the renminbi qualified foreign institutional investor (RQFII) scheme, the South China Morning Post reported Tuesday. The country, which holds the largest pool of yuan deposits in Europe, wants the same status as that of London, which was granted in October 2013 a quota of 80 billion yuan (US$13.2 billion) to invest in China’s stock and bond markets, the report said.
