Prostitution crackdown goes nationwide, paper says

The Ministry of Public Security is urging police nationwide to crack down on prostitution, gambling and drug-related crimes, China Daily reported Monday. The move follows a report by state broadcaster CCTV about widespread prostitution in Dongguan, Guangdong province. The ministry wants police to use Dongguan as a lesson in an intensified campaign against crime.
