The HSBC China Flash Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI), a preliminary reading of the nation’s manufacturing activity, fell to a seven-month low of 48.3 in February, Wallstreetcn.com reported Thursday, citing a HSBC statement. The figure is 1.2 points lower than the January final reading. A figure above 50 indicates expansion in manufacturing activity.
