China recorded a deficit of 81.4 billion yuan (US$13.3 billion) in service trade in January, Xinhua news agency reported Wednesday, citing data released by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange. Service exports last month amount to 113.6 billion yuan while imports totaled 195 billion, it said. SAFE has begun to release service trade data on a monthly basis starting with January. Previously, authorities were issuing quarterly figures.
