China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd. (00762.HK) reported on Thursday a net profit of 10.41 billion yuan (US$1.698 billion) for 2013, marking an increase of 46.7 percent over the previous year. Operating revenue reached 295.04 billion yuan, up 18.5 percent from 2012, according to a regulatory filing. 3G service income stood at 89.8 billion yuan, up 50.2 percent and accounting for 59.4 percent of the total mobile service income. 3G subscriber number was up 60.4 percent at 123 million, while the average revenue per user in the business was 75.1 yuan, down 12.8 percent from a year earlier.
