New tax rules set for equipment imports, paper says

The Ministry of Finance will implement new tax rules for several equipment imports from March, Securities Times reported Friday. The new rules, which adjust the policy set in 2009 after consultation with related industries, will affect the tax support for major equipment imports, including those for oil and gas exploration and vessels for liquified natural gas transport. Meanwhile, tax-free treatment for imported direct-current traction equipment, fire alarms and denitration equipment will be canceled, the report said.
