Youku Tudou Inc, China’s leading internet television company, said on Friday that it posted a net loss of 24.58 million yuan (US$4 million) for the fourth-quarter ended December. The loss was 78.4 percent narrower compared to the loss the company suffered in the same period in 2012, it said in a statement on its website, giving unaudited figures. Net revenue was up 41.8 percent on year at 901.29 million yuan. For the full year 2013, Youku Tudou incurred a net loss of 580.74 million yuan on revenue of 3.03 billion yuan. Net loss per share stood at 19 fen, up from 18 fen in 2012. Youku Tudou expects revenue for the current quarter to be in the range of 680 million to 720 million yuan, with advertising seen contributing 600 million to 640 million yuan.
