Yunnan to pump 400 mln yuan into new airports, paper says

Yunnan plans to boost local civil aviation by offering 100 million yuan (US$16.32 million) in subsidies to each of four new airports due to open in the province next year, National Business Daily reported Friday, citing opinions published Wednesday by the provincial government. The airports are at Lugu Lake, Cangyuan, Lancang and Honghe. The government also plans to set up a special fund using dividends from airline shares to increase flight routes between the province and South Asia from 18 now to 30, the report said.
