Beijing Capital Development Co. Ltd. (600376.CN) is said to have acquired a 17-storey luxury residential apartment building in New York’s Manhattan district for US$99.75 million, news website guandian.cn reported Monday. The building, known as The Grayson, has total floor space of 10,100 square meters spread across 128 suites, it said. The sellers are RWN Real Estate and Silverstone Real Estate Group, which bought the building for around US$53 million in February 2012 and carried out some renovation. Meanwhile, in another deal, China Vanke Co. Ltd. (000002.CN) announced its first investment in the Manhattan region, the report said. The company is said to have teamed up with RFR Holdings LLC to build a 61-storey luxury condo tower at 610 Lexington Avenue.
