China non-manufacturing PMI climbs to 55 in Feb, NBS says

China’s non-manufacturing purchasing managers’ index, a gauge of service sector business activity, rose to 55 in February from 53.4 in the previous month, marking the first increase after dropping for three consecutive months, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Monday. A figure above 50 suggests expansion in business activity. The new orders index climbed to 51.4 from the January figure of 50.9, while the business expectations sub-index rose 1.8 points to 59.9.
