Derui Group chief detained in Zhou-related probe, paper says

Yan Yude {嚴玉德}, chairman of Chengdu-based Derui Group, has been detained for questioning in connection with an investigation into Sichuan deputy party chief Li Chuncheng, who had once served as an aide to China’s fallen former national security chief Zhou Yongkang, the 21st Century Business Herald reported Saturday, citing sources. Representatives of Derui Group declined to comment on the matter, it said. Yan Yude had figured twice on the Hurun China Rich list, but has managed to keep a low profile. Derui’s businesses include property development, healthcare, education, technology and transport, and the group also owns some stake in German football team Football Club de Metz, the report said.
