Zhou Yongkang brother and wife held amid probe, paper says

Zhou Yuanqing, the brother of former security czar Zhou Yongkang {周永康} who is under investigation over alleged graft, was held in early December last year along with his wife from their home in Wuxi in Jiangsu province for investigation, Beijing News reported Monday, citing an unnamed person with knowledge of the matter. The wife, Zhou Lingying, was said to be running a business that had links with an indirectly controlled unit of Kunlun Energy Co. Ltd. (00135.HK), which is under the state-owned oil and gas giant China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC), the report said. Kunlun’s former chairman Li Hualin was reported in August last year to be under investigation over serious violations of discipline, it added.
