Taiwan’s Eva Airways Corp. expects its business to grow significantly this year as the carrier takes delivery of new aircraft, including three Boeing 777s and six Airbus A321 planes, from March, United Daily News reported Wednesday, citing chairman Chang Kuo-wei. At a press conference Tuesday, Chang was quoted as saying that the new Boeing aircraft will be used on existing and newly added routes to the United States, boosting the passenger transport capacity by 20 percent. In other comments, he called on Chinese authorities to allow flight transfers in Taiwan for mainlanders to travel to other countries. Chang is hopeful that such transfers can become a reality next year.
