China will adjust on-grid prices for wind power this year as part of reform in the resources sector, China Securities Journal reported Thursday, citing the National Development and Reform Commission. No further details were given. On-grid prices should not be cut at this time and any adjustment should involve differential rates on a regional basis, Qin Haiyan, secretary general of the China Wind Power Association, was quoted as saying. Qin urged the government to continue subsidies to wind power producers to help them meet rising costs and encourage production, the report said.
