Hundreds of workers at an International Business Machines Corp. facility in Shenzhen have been on strike since Monday as the company prepares to transfer the computer-server factory to Lenovo Group Ltd. (0992.HK), the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday. The workers, who identified themselves as employees of the IBM Systems Technology Co. plant in the southern Chinese city, said in social media posts that IBM’s offer of severance pay was not enough for those who opt to leave, while those who want to stay fear their wages will be cut, the report said.
