Smartphone maker Xiaomi Corp is in no hurry to seek a stock market listing, with the company instead choosing to focus on boosting its production to cater to the market demand, China Daily reported Friday, citing the firm’s founder and chief executive Lei Jun. “Boosting production to meet the increasing market demand will be prioritized in the years ahead because our products have become more popular both in the domestic and overseas market,” Lei was quoted as saying. Smartphones produced by Xiaomi, which was established in 2010, are well integrated with the fast-developing mobile Internet industry, he said on the sidelines of the National People’s Congress plenum in Beijing. “We will not go public within five years. Instead, we are putting more effort into making enough products,” Lei was quoted as saying.
