Xi, Obama discuss hot-button issues in phone call, report says

Chinese President Xi Jinping {習近平} and his US counterpart Barack Obama spoke to each other over the telephone Monday Asian time, exchanging opinions on various issues such as Sino-US relations and the political situation in Ukraine, china.com portal reported, citing sources from CCTV. According to the report, Obama also expressed concerns over the fate of the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which had some US citizens on board. The US leader, meanwhile, expressed condolences to China for the March 1 incident at the Kunming railway station in Yunnan province, and said there should be zero tolerance for such terror attacks, the report said.
