China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) is said to be accelerating the development of its liquefied natural gas (LNG) gas refilling business across the country, Xinhua news agency reported Tuesday. As of the end of 2013, the energy giant had 144 gas refilling stations spread over 90 cities across 22 provinces. Another 54 gas stations are under construction. In 2013, CNOOC has refilled 210,000 tons of LNG for vehicles and vessels of different kinds. Last year, CNOOC imported 13.01 million tons of LNG, becoming the third largest LNG buyer globally, the report said.
