NPC sets ball rolling on anti-terrorism law, Caixin says

The National People’s Congress (NPC) will gather public views on a plan to pass an anti-terrorism law after NPC deputies filed a motion to craft the legislation, news website Caixin.com reported Tuesday, citing Zang Tiewei, an official of the Legislative Affairs of the NPC Standing Committee. Currently, anti-terrorism provisions are incorporated in criminal, litigation and national security laws, but China has no specific legislation for the purpose, the report said.
