Honeywell expects surge in China revenue, paper says

US technology company Honeywell expects double-digit revenue growth in China this year, thanks to surging demand for industrial and consumer products and related technologies in varied fields from Chinese-made jumbo jets, to cars, home appliances and smart cities, Shanghai Daily reported Wednesday, citing company president Stephen Shang. Shang said Honeywell will sharpen its consumer focus in China, including opening more stores, increasing production capacity and recruiting research and development engineers. Honeywell has four joint ventures in China to develop China-made jumbo jets and has also invested heavily to build plants in the oil refining, gas processing, petrochemical and renewable energy industries, the report said.
