Shenzhen keen to pioneer IPR courts in China, paper says

Shenzhen mayor Xu Qin has proposed setting up the country’s first intellectual property rights court in the special economic zone, Shenzhen Economic Daily reported Wednesday. Addressing the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Xu also pledged to improve Shenzhen’s judiciary, including exploring the feasibility of having professional judges and more transparent court operations, the report said.
