CSRC may resume IPO application acceptance next week, paper says

The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) is expected to resume next week acceptance of applications for initial public offering (IPO) proposals, ending a three-month freeze, the 21st Century Business Herald reported Friday, citing a source close to the regulator. According to the source, the regulator’s Issuance Examination Committee will review applications based on the information provided by the firms, rather than making a judgement on their profitability. There are nearly 700 firms waiting in line to get their IPO applications accepted for review, which requires all related information to be presented at the time of the review, the report said.
