CNPC plans to invite private investment, paper says

China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) plans to reform its shareholding structure by introducing private capital into its oil, natural gas, pipeline, refinery and other units, the Securities Daily reported Monday, citing chairman Zhou Jiping. Several companies in the natural gas sector voiced hopes that they could establish cooperation agreements with CNPC, but said they were still awaiting details of the plan. Earlier, China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. (Sinopec) (00386.HK, 600028.CN) also announced it will it allow private investment in its oil product sales business, the report said.
