Nansha picked for 100 sq km ‘Hong Kong park’, paper says

The Hong Kong government will lease a 100 square kilometer site in Guangzhou’s Nansha district to create a “Hong Kong park” to house businesses from the special administrative region as well as public and elderly housing, Apple Daily reported Monday. “Low added-value industries”, such as scrap collection and columbaria operators, may be relocated to the new site, the report said. Shopping outlets will also be built at the site to cater to shoppers from Guangdong, the report said.
