Kingdee International Software Group Corp. Ltd. (00268.HK) is set to launch a software product that allows corporates to manage their financial assets through the Internet, chairman and chief executive Xu Shaochun said.
“We are going to launch a new software in the coming two to three months, targeting corporate clients such as banks,” Xu said in a post-results press conference Tuesday.
“Through this new product, our clients can check their financial situation anytime they like,” he said, adding that the users will be able to buy other financial products through the same platform. Potential clients include China CITIC Bank Corp. Ltd. (00998.HK, 601998.CN) and China Merchant Bank Co. Ltd. (03968.HK, 600036.CN).
The company also plans to launch an instant messaging product similar to Tencent Holdings’ (00700.HK) WeChat but focusing on corporate users.
Xu is optimistic about China’s information technology industry despite the country’s slowing economy. “Information technology was a cost in the past, but has now become an efficient tool to help broaden customer base and boost revenue and productivity,” he said.
