Enterprises surge after capital reform, paper says

More than 123,300 enterprises have been registered in the two weeks since the launch of new regulations on registered capital, China Daily reported Wednesday. The number is up 36.1 percent from a year earlier. Newly registered business entities were up 7.48 percent year on year to 468,400, the report said, citing State Administration of Industry and Commerce. On March 1, China changed or abolished a number of capital requirements to boost market access and encourage social investment.
