China has launched an anti-dumping probe into optical fiber preform imports from Japan and the United States, the official Xinhua news agency reported Wednesday, citing the Ministry of Commerce. The probe is in response to a complaint by domestic manufacturers. The ministry is investigating whether those exports breach China’s anti-dumping regulations and what harm these might have caused to domestic companies, the report said. The investigation may last until September 2015. Optical fiber preform is a piece of glass used to make optical fiber.
