JD.com can offer sales platform for fund companies, paper says

Online retailer JD.com has been awarded a license to serve as a third-party e-commerce platform for fund product sales, becoming the second such company after Zhejiang Taobao Network Co. Ltd., the Shanghai Securities News reported Thursday. As of the end of February, JD.com was yet to line up partnership deals with fund companies, while Taobao has inked pacts with 31 fund providers, the report said.
