Third party handles CNPC oil field tenders, paper says

China National Petroleum Corp. has appointed an independent third party to organize tenders for drilling projects at its Changqing oil field, the 21st Century Business Herald reported Thursday. China’s biggest integrated energy company opened the tenders last month and is scheduled to close them next month, the report said. Industry sources said the tender process, which is open to qualified contractors across the country, is much more transparent and signals the start of a new wave of reform for state-owned companies, the report said.
