South China Futures suspends operation amid debt row, paper says

South China Futures Co. Ltd. suspended its operations Thursday, citing the need to protect investors’ interests, after some of its bank accounts were frozen by a court in southwestern China’s Guizhou province, the Shanghai Securities News reported Friday. The Guangzhou-based futures trading firm is understood to be involved in a debt dispute and its decision to suspend operations was voluntary, the report said.
