Hebei imports experts to fix smog, paper says

Hebei province will enlist 200 overseas personnel to help on 50 projects to tackle air pollution over the next four years, China Daily reported Monday. The foreign experts will also help develop an industrial zone for environmental companies, the report said. Jing Qingyu, deputy director of the provincial human resources and social security department, was quoted as saying the personnel will mainly come from “the United States, Britain, Germany and other developed countries.” In 2013, Hebei had 236 days with an air quality index worse than the national standard for good air, the report said.
