China service trade deficit narrows in Feb, Xinhua says

China’s foreign trade deficit in services shrank to 58.5 billion yuan (US$9.6 billion) in February from 81.4 billion yuan in January, Xinhua reported Monday, citing the State Administration of Foreign Exchange. China generated 94 billion yuan in income from the services trade last month, while spending 152.5 billion yuan on the sector, the report said. According to Ministry of Commerce data, the service trade deficit reached US$118.46 billion last year, up from US$89.7 billion in 2012 and US$54.92 billion in 2011.
