Hyatt International Hotel Management Co. Ltd. will introduce two new brands in China to target the country’s rapidly growing middle class, China Daily reported Tuesday. Hyatt Place and Hyatt House will target middle-class travelers looking for value for money, Xia Nong, senior vice-president of Real Estate & Development of Hyatt International Hotel Management (Beijing) Co Ltd., was quoted as saying. Xia said the hotel segment with rooms priced from 500 yuan (US$80) to 800 yuan per night is not well served. The first Hyatt Place will open in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, in the second quarter, the report said.
