Bank of China Ltd. (03988.HK, 601988.CN) recorded a net profit of 156.91 billion yuan (US$25.27 billion) in 2013, up 12.36 percent from a year earlier, the company said in a regulatory filing Wednesday. Operating income climbed 11.31 percent to 407.51 billion yuan while basic earnings per share rose to 56 fen from 50 fen in 2012. Its total assets amounted to 13.87 trillion yuan, an increase of 9.41 percent year on year. The bank’s non-performing loan ratio was 0.96 percent, a 0.01 percentage point rise from the prior year-end. The board proposed a final dividend of 19.6 fen per share.
