China Aviation Supplies orders 70 Airbus jets, WSJ says

State-owned China Aviation Supplies Holding has signed a firm order for 70 jetliners to respond to the strong growth in the Chinese aviation industry expected in the coming years, thje Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday. The company ordered 43 A320 and 27 A330 jets to provide Chinese airlines in all segments of the market, including domestic, low-cost, regional and international markets, according to an Airbus statement. The order is worth at least US$9.9 billion at list prices, the report said, adding that manufacturers offer significant discounts for large orders.
