Liftoff for Microsoft China cloud computing, paper says

Microsoft Corp. formally launched its public cloud computing service in China Wednesday, Shanghai Daily reported Thursday. The Microsoft Azure cloud service, operated by its local partner, Shanghai-headquartered 21Vianet, has 3,000 clients on the mainland and employs more than 300 engineers, the report said.
