Mining firm Sichuan Hanlong Group’s former chairman Liu Han, his younger brother Liu Wei and 34 other connected persons were charged by a Hubei court for crimes including murder, intentional injury and triad-related offenses, China News Service reported Wednesday. All the 36 people will go on trial on March 31, it said. According to prosecutors, a gang led by Liu Han committed criminal offences and corrupted state officials. Liu Han had once figured on the list of China’s 500 wealthiest people, the report noted.
