Taiwan caps mainland tour groups, paper says

Taiwan will admit no more than 5,000 mainland group tourists per day for both peak and low seasons from 2015, Economic Daily News reported Thursday, citing an official announcement. Presently, the government allows 8,000 group tourists from the mainland during the March-May and October peak seasons and 5,000 during low seasons. About one-third of visitors to Taiwan are from the Chinese mainland, the report said.
