Taiwan fell from third to fourth last year in rankings of the competitiveness of 37 Asian economies, United Daily News reported Thursday, citing a report published Wednesday by the Boao Forum for Asia. Singapore topped the list, followed by South Korea and Hong Kong, the report said. China moved up one notch to ninth. The assessment is based on indicators including administrative efficiency for commerce, human capital, innovation capacity, infrastructure, level of social development and economic strength, the report said.
