Hebei allots 200 mln yuan for integration plan, report says

The Hebei provincial government has allocated an additional 200 million yuan (US$32.21 million) for the reallocation of industries under the proposed Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei co-development plan, China News Service reported Monday, citing the National Development and Reform Commission’s Department of Regional Economy. Based on the preliminary blueprint, Baoding will take over some of Beijing’s administrative units, high schools, research institutions and medical and pension facilities, while Langfang will construct a new airport for the capital region and help in decongesting the capital’s scientific, educational, medical care and exhibition facilities and services. Providing an integrated transport system for the cluster, including the construction of more expressways and railways, is a priority, Tianjin deputy mayor Zong Guoying was quoted as saying.
