China new-home price growth eases further, WSJ says

China’s housing market showed a further slowdown in March, with new data indicating that price growth moderated in more cities, the Wall Street Journal reported. Average new-home prices were up 10.04 percent in March from a year earlier, decelerating for the third straight month after February’s 10.79 percent rise and January’s 11.1 percent gain, it said, citing data from China Real Estate Index System. Potential home buyers are staying on the sidelines as property developers introduce price cuts, sales agents were quoted as saying.
