China’s home purchase limits remain in place and any discussions about easing them are at a preliminary stage, China Securities Journal reported Thursday, citing several local governments. Officials in Wenzhou denied having filed papers with the provincial administration in Zhejiang seeking to ease the restrictions, contrary to earlier reports. Hangzhou and several other key cities also denied the reports. If those limits are eased, there will be conditions, unnamed officials were quoted as saying. Meanwhile, several developers in Changsha said they have not received news or instructions about any relaxation of the policy.
