Huang Hongsheng, chairman of Nanjing Golden Dragon Bus Co. Ltd., plans to invest 2 billion yuan (US$322.08 million) to build a new energy vehicle research and production base in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, China Business News reported Friday. The plant will have an annual production capacity of 10,000 pure electric buses, minibuses and light passenger cars, Huang was quoted as saying. He expects China’s central regions to drive demand for the vehicles. Huang is also the founder of Skyworth Digital (00751.HK).
