China’s top five bankers in terms of income in 2013 all came from Ping An Bank (000001.CN), led by its governor Shao Ping who earned 8.33 million yuan (US$1.34 million) and followed by its four vice-governors who made 5.86 million yuan to 7.09 million yuan each, the 21st Century Business Herald reported Friday. Bank of China Ltd. (03988.HK)’s credit risk director Zhan Weijian came in sixth with 5.74 million yuan. Three bankers from China Minsheng Banking Corp. Ltd. (01988.HK, 600016.CN) ranked seventh to ninth, while another vice governor from Ping An Bank claimed the tenth place. Last year, 11 of the top 18 earners came from Ping An Bank and China Minsheng Bank, the report said.
