Sinopec eyes Goldman, CICC as asset sale advisers, report says

China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. (Sinopec) (00386.HK, 600028.CN) has denied market rumors it is selling 30 percent of its retail oil assets to Goldman Sachs Group Inc., stressing that it is only exploring cooperation with the investment bank in relation to financial consulting on such assets, Tencent’s qq.com reported Friday. Along with Goldman Sachs, Sinopec has also shortlisted China International Capital Corp. Ltd. (CICC) for the role, the report said.
