China has approved a plan to develop the Yellow River delta in a further move to promote the economic growth of central regions, National Business Daily reported Tuesday, citing the National Development and Reform Commission.
The delta borders Shanxi, Shaanxi and Henan provinces and covers 57,800 square kilometers.
The plan will link up infrastructure across cities in the delta, easing the flow of goods and services and improving transport.
The delta has proven coal reserves of up to 45 billion tons, the report.
