Online porn: Albert gets to say something about Jasper

Legco chairman Jasper Tsang found himself on the receiving end of political intrigue after a pornographic feed appeared on his Facebook page.

Democratic Party lawmaker Albert Ho let rip with a self-deprecating remark laced with a not-so-subtle rebuke of Tsang.

“I don’t know how he did it. He is so clever and astute. I was stupid for making a similar mistake,” Ho said.

In March, Ho famously apologized and was fined HK$10,000 by his party after looking at pictures of scantily clad women on his iPad during a Legco meeting.

In Tsang’s case, the offending material was deleted from his account by an assistant shortly after it was discovered by the media.

Tsang is visiting Japan and has no knowledge of the incident, a spokesman said.

The legislator has been posting photos of his travel on Facebook. Whether these are meant to distract attention from the incident is anybody’s guess, but some enterprising netizens have been quick to point out that a top Chinese legislator advertising his presence in Japan is not so smart because of the state of Sino-Japanse relations.

Finally, a memo to Facebook users: If you see a link to a porn site that invites you to watch the content and share it with friends, click at your own peril.
