Asia will see steady growth of 5.4 percent this year and 5.5 percent in 2015, Xinhua news agency reported Monday, citing the International Monetary Fund.
External demand is expected to pick up, along with economic recovery in the West, and domestic consumption should remain solid across Asia, the IMF said in a report on Asia-Pacific economic outlook.
The region will continue to be a source of dynamic growth, provided it continues with reform, it said.
However, it warned that Asia will face higher interest rates, potential capital outflows and asset price volatility from tightening global liquidity.
