A university bearing a magical resemblance to Harry Potter’s alma mater, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, has risen from the ground in China, Britain’s Daily Mail reported.
The castle-like building, which mirrors the school featured in the movies of J. K. Rowling’s novels, has been erected as a university in Xinle, Hebei province, the report said.
The architect of the university was quoted as saying that he took the idea for the design from Europe’s medieval castles.
Replicating western buildings is not rare in China — there are reproductions of the Eiffel Tower, London’s Tower Bridge and an Austrian-style town, just to name a few.
The university is set to admit students by the end of the year, according to the report.
